I have worked in sales based positions for most of my life. One of the first things I was required to do was develop my telephone skills. Face to face selling and selling over the telephone is entirely different. Many companies stumble on this fact. Learning the art of cold call sales was one of the first things that I was required to learn. At first the rejection was difficult but over time I developed a thick skin and found ways to improve my ability to converse with potential customers.
