the batman tumbler, used in Christopher Nolan’ Batman, is based on an actual vehicle. When working on how to build it, the makers had to figure out what specifications the modern-day Batmobile would have to meet:
- Must be capable to reach max speeds of over 100 MPH and rev up from 0 to 60 MPH in less than 5 secs. It also has to be able to cu corners rapidly.
- Must be tough enough to meet the demands of keeping law and order on the mean streets of Gotham City.
- Must be capable of jumping 30’ high and coming back down undamaged.
There you have it…the Tumbler had to be fast, agile, and take a big hit.
