At What Temperature?

My husband and I always go back and forth over what temperature we should set the furnace. On the one hand, we have a Goodman Gas Furnace, which is pretty efficient and earth-friendly, so with the gas we buy it doesn’t cost a whole lot to heat the house. On the other hand, I say any fuel we don’t burn is one smaller carbon footprint. On the other other hand, I get cold really easily, so putting the furnace at 50 degrees is not a happy thing for me. We’re trying to find a balance between freezing and efficient, but it hasn’t been easy.

When you are looking to make home improvements, other than painting a small room there is not much you can get done in a single afternoon. It’s hard to find a great children’s birthday party themes when you have a preteen or teenager, yet you still want to throw a fun party for them on their special day. A fun solution would be to have your son or daughter invite a group of friends over and have an American Idol party! This party would not be complete, of course without a karaoke machine for your party guests to belt out their favorite pop tunes of today. Go to a thrift store and purchase a bunch of goofy clothes for the kids to create their own pop star outfits. Include in the pile some feather boas, sunglasses, makeup and wigs and see what they come up with. Have 3 parents volunteer to be the judges for the competition. The judges can vote on fun categories like, Wildest Costume, Flattest Note, Funniest, Loudest and Best in Show! This party is sure to bring a lot of laughter from the crowd!

My favorite chair

I have a chair in my house that I like to be very careful with. It sits in my living room, but it is only there for adults to occasionally sit it, but mostly just admire it. There are so many chairs to sit in, and this one has an Antique Chair Styles, which means I would rather be fond of it’s beauty than the way that it feels when I sit in it. It has a very regal feel to it, much like if a royal family had some chairs sitting in their living room area. It is a great addition to my home.

Taking advice

I always think it is better to take advice when it comes to redecorating the room, because often you are too close to the job to make a proper decision. When I came to redecorate my bedroom last year I decided to ask the advice of a very good friend, and she told me that one of the best things I could do was choose some outdoor patio shades, because they would make a real difference to my room. I decided to take her advice and I’m glad I did because now my room looks absolutely wonderful and I would not change them.

now we’ve gotten mailings from Kaplan professional colleges for inspector courses they are offering. They seem to be a good value, but I’m not really interested in that occupation per say. I am interested in real estate, but more the market and investment opportunities rather than the nuts and bolts of beam stress and mold. These details are boring. But hear this, there are some absolute steals out there right now….a preacher told stories of a guy buing an $850,000 for $240,000. Talk about instant equity when the housing market recovers in 2-5 years! Too bad my extra cash dried up in my 401k invested in the S&P 500. By the time my account recovers, the housing market will have too, removing all the steals.
