At What Temperature?

My husband and I always go back and forth over what temperature we should set the furnace.  On the one hand, we have a Goodman Gas Furnace, which is pretty efficient and earth-friendly, so with the gas we buy it doesn’t cost a whole lot to heat the house.  On the other hand, I say any fuel we don’t burn is one smaller carbon footprint.  On the other other hand, I get cold really easily, so putting the furnace at 50 degrees is not a happy thing for me.  We’re trying to find a balance between freezing and efficient, but it hasn’t been easy.
